In 2011 The NSW Environmental Trust awarded Popes Glen Bushcare Group a Community Bush Regeneration Large Project Stream grant of $233,132 over a six year period to remove large woody weeds and install stormwater mitigation construction to stabilise the silt bed that underpins the site. This will result in the protection of the World Heritage National Park downstream from weed and silt incursions.
This grant is being administered on behalf of Popes Glen Bushcare Group by Blue Mountains City Council, who are also contributing cash and in-kind works towards the outcomes of this project.
